Chainz the Chainsaw is a weapon and follower of Al's throughout his Dust playthrough, first appearing in New Vegas: Dust - Part 55 - Chainz. Although he doesn't actually follow Al (as a result of his inventory being perpetually almost at max capacity), Al talks to him like any other companion he has.

Chainz makes a final (and only official) appearance in New Vegas Montages: Farewell New Vegas, having been captured by the Business Radroaches and the Radios. When Al sees him in the bunker, he is quite upset and reveals that he thinks Chainz is one of the most popular companions and that the Radroaches and the Radios did a good job at selecting their captives. He is eventually freed by Al and assists him in taking down the Business Radroaches, being used as a weapon in battle. He eventually leaves with the rest of Al's secondary companions, heading out into the wasteland while Al promises to save the Mojave.
