A.J. (Al Junior) is Janet and Al's son who returned from the past with Captain Ballarms. He makes his first official appearance as a companion of Al's in Wasteland Defense - Family Edition! - Part 1.
Origin
A.J.'s first appearance is in Fallout New Vegas Montages: The Return of Janet!, where Janet gives birth to him. In order to keep him safe, they place him inside of Ballarms and he is sent back in time along with Ballarms in order to chase after the Business Radroaches who escaped.
His first appearance as an actual character however, takes place in Fallout New Vegas Montages: The Return of Ballarms!, where it is revealed that both he and Ballarms were taken captive by the Radios. Just as the radio men are about to kill Ballarms for his defiance, A.J. shows up and kills the radios, saving Ballarms. The two then blow up the base where they are being held and escape to Al's home. Al happily welcomes back both A.J. and Ballarms and embraces them in a group hug.
Appearances
A.J. makes his debut as a companion in the following Fallout video Wasteland Defense - Family Edition!, where Al, Steve, Janet, and Ballarms take A.J. out so he can learn how to defend himself and fight in the wasteland.
The gang travels and invades a birthday party, where A.J. quickly becomes a killing machine and defends Al on numerous occasions. They then begin building a base and after its construction, start fighting off waves of enemies. In one of the waves, however, is a literal reincarnation of Jesus who had taken the body of a ghoul. This ghoul leader set its sights of A.J. and viciously attacked him. Al stepped in as the father and defended his son. After the creature was defeated, Al called A.J. a "strong little baby". He fights off several other hordes of enemies until the end of the video. He has appeared in almost every video since this.
A.J. has his first official Christmas in New Vegas Montages: The Christmas Tree Hunt, where Al explains to him and Sizzler that Christmas is all about presents, Christmas trees, and little bit of baby Jesus. After blowing up a tree and loading it in a truck, the group accidentally drives off of the cliff, wrecking their vehicle. While Al and A.J. are unharmed, Sizzler is stuck in the ground and unconscious, although Al states that she'll be fine as he and A.J. leave her to go find some help. The two find an old man who offer them help and allow the duo to pick their own cattle to move the tree, offering them an assortment of weird and useless creatures to carry the tree. Al declines the old man's help and head to back to the tree, only to discover that it was stolen. A.J., using his pip-boy, discovers footprints and leads Al to the Legion camp where they discover that the Legion had stolen their tree. Even though Al was ready to shoot them for the tree, Al stops himself, stating that he can't do it and then begins explaining to A.J. that Christmas is really about family. They then return home, where they're greeted by the rest of Al's companions and a new Christmas tree, where Al states that this was the best Christmas ever, at least until next year.
A.J., along with the rest of Al's main companions, makes his last official montage appearance in New Vegas Montages: Farewell New Vegas. He is first seen alongside Sizzler in a nightmare that Al has, where they are seen playing on a playground before an explosion occurs, killing them. When Al wakes up, he realizes that Sizzler and A.J. are fine and takes them and the rest of his crew to the Atomic Wrangler for a Chicken Fingers Fiesta. Upon arrival, the group realizes they are trapped and while the rest of the group tries to find a way to escape, A.J. begins tweeting out updates on their situation. They are able to escape when Ballarms shoots lasers at the floor, allowing them to escape in the sewers.
Once in the sewers, an Al clone appears and begins decimating the civilians in the area, forcing Al and his gang to take cover while they figure out an attack plan. As they ultimately have no weapons, they run for the surface, where they wind up right in the middle of a Business Radroach attack on Freeside. Al decides to take Steve and Jerry with him into the Strip to counter a vertibird approaching and tells the rest of his gang to hold the line, leaving A.J. behind for the time being. It was revealed that the group left behind was captured, although they were soon rescued alongside a captive Jerry and Steve and escape the bunker base, deciding to head for their base in Goodsprings. Once they arrive however, a bomb is dropped on the area and he is told to stay behind as Jerry, Cuddlesworth, and Steve enter the radiation filled environment to locate Al's base.
After several minutes, Al clones appear from within the radiation cloud and soon attack Al's remaining companions. As Sizzler and Ballarms leave the group, A.J. retreats with Janet and Al, his mother and father, and they find shelter in a nearby cave. As they talk, someone enters the cave and Al immediately springs up, stating that he will protect his family. Ronald Dillinger is actually who appears and explains to the group that he wishes to help them. They head over to Dr. Barton's lab, as in a previous mod review he was the one who helped them time travel, as they wish to prevent all of this from happening.
When the Business Radroaches begin invading, A.J. livetweets his parents trying to figure out the time machine and is knocked unconscious when the Radroaches hit the side of the building with a missile. However, when Ronald presses the button to send Al into the future, Janet and A.J. disappear, either having been transported with him or been taken into safety by Ronald, as they are no where to be found when the Business Radroaches inspect the building for the group. It is unknown where these three currently are, but it is assumed they are safe, as they are not shown under mind control with the rest of Al's captured companions at the end of the montage.
